Trench Drain

Trench Drain for exterior doorways, stairways, and garage doors
If you have a doorway or stairway that leads to the outside or a garage, you'll want to have a trench drain installed in front of it while you are having your waterproofing system installed. A trench drain is like a half round pipe with a grate that fits snuggly on top of it. The grate is flush or slightly below the floor to catch any water that may enter from the outside. The trench drain is the perfect solution if you have a less than watertight bulkhead door.

This way you are protected against leakage from a hatchway door, bulkhead door, sliding door, or even a garage door. Even if your door doesn't leak now, with the right amount of snow, slush or heavy rain conditions it can. It doesn't cost any more to have the trench drain installed if your are having a WaterGuard system installed.
