FlexiSpan Seals the Real Estate Deal in Middleville, MI

This Middleville, MI resident was in the process of preparing to sell her home when she gave us a call. Worried that water seepage through a small crack in her wall would hinder the sale, she sought us out looking for an effective solution that wouldn’t break the bank.

FlexiSpan was just the thing for her. The flexible polymer was plugged into the crack to create a durable seal that will hold back water. After the sealant was in place, a drainage layer was added in front of the seal. If any water should penetrate the first layer, it will flow down the wall behind the drainage layer and into the newly installed drainage system at the foot of the wall. Hopefully, the rest of this sale goes as smoothly as the installation of the FlexiSpan system.

Tradeshow Attendee Chooses to Encapsulate Crawl Space

Ayers captured this Middleville homeowner’s attention at a tradeshow. Wayne had a crawl space in his home, and while it wasn’t damp—thankfully—he was informed on the benefits of encapsulating the space and decided to have our team come to his home and do exactly that.

Encapsulating a crawl space is a smart idea to eliminate water vapor that comes from the floor and through the walls, keep outside air from coming in, and seal off the home from the earth to keep critters out. CleanSpace is what we use to do this. This liner is thicker and more durable than other crawl space liners, and since it’s fixed to the floor and walls, it provides a foolproof, sturdy moisture barrier.

Coupled with our crawl space insulation for both the floor and walls, SilverGlo and Terrablock to help keep the floors above much warmer, CleanSpace cuts energy costs for Wayne and gives him peace of mind that the crawl space will remain dry for years to come.

Waterproofing a Stone Foundation in Middleville MI

Joe and his wife Laura have a stone foundation in their 1930's farm home. They are concerned because water is coming into the basement and the sump pump is not pumping it outside. We used the WaterGuard to collect the water as it came into the basement and send it to the sump pump. It is a perimeter drain but installed under the floor. The concrete is restored after installation so there is not an ugly drain in the basement. It installs quickly so it is not an inconvenience to get the issue fixed!

Crawl Space Refurbished with CleanSpace in Rockford, MI

Carol M. called because she received a pre-mailer from us and noticed a picture of a crawl space that was encapsulated with CleanSpace. Carol was unhappy with her dirt crawl space and wanted it to look like the one in the picture. Little did she know a dirt crawl space is more than just an eyesore, it is actually causing many unknown problems for the homeowner. The exposed earth in her space is letting a constant stream of water vapor to enter creating an excess amount of moisture, which can lead to mold and rot. Unfortunately, any mold spores and smelly, wet or humid air will flow upward into her home due to the “Stack Effect”. The installation of CleanSpace will fix both the aesthetic in the space and the actual harmful effects of a dirt crawl space. CleanSpace is durable plastic liner that is perfectly sized and fastened securely to your crawl space walls. The liner is water and vapor proof with a microbial additive to prevent mold growth. Another added bonus with this liner is the bright white color that transforms your ugly, dirty crawl space into a clean, bright space. Thanks to CleanSpace, Carol now has the crawl space of her dreams.

Rockford, MI Basement Fights Moisture

A homeowner in Rockford Michigan needed help with waterproofing her basement. So, she called us so we could give her our professional help. We drove to her home and noticed that she had no sump pump (that is a huge red flag in any Michigan basement). We then hooked her up with the best sump pump that we own, the TripleSafe. TripleSafe is a sump pump with three different pumps in one liner. The first being the 1/3 hp zoeller pump which does most of the pumping and is placed at the bottom of the liner. The second is the 1/2 hp zoeller that is placed slightly higher than the first. This pump is more powerful but will only be turned on when needed. The final pump is the battery-operated UltraSump DC which is used in case of a power outage, this pump can pump up to 24,000 gallons of water. Now she won't have to fear that her basement will flood ever again.
