Kimberly has a newer home with a mostly finished basement. Still, she has a small crawl space that has a dirt floor. Luckily, Kimberly hasn't experienced any water or moisture in her space but due to the dirt floor in her crawl space, she is susceptible to moisture. Moisture can cause foundation problems and annoyances such as discoloration. It can also play a huge role in allergens and humidity in the home decreasing overall home and air quality. As a preventative measure, she had our team come out to encapsulate the space and our team installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is an uninterrupted vapor barrier designed to keep out any unwanted pests, moisture, and mold. This barrier restricts airflow and therefore makes controlling the temperature of the home much easier. CleanSpace is applied to the floors and walls and wrapped around pillars and piers carefully to ensure that the space looks clean and refreshed. Kimberly saved herself a lot of money by getting ahead of moisture.
Pipes were freezing in Bill’s crawl space due to poor insulation. So he called our team asking for insulation options for his crawl space. We installed CleanSpace, a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. CleanSpace creates an energy-efficient crawl space and is a great insulation option. It will keep the outside air out and the inside air in so Bill will no longer need to worry about his pipes freezing.
Mike in South Haven noticed that there was moisture getting into his dirt crawlspace, as well as a little critter running around. After seeing both of these things, Mike knew that it was time to make a call. When we received his phone call, we knew exactly what Mike needed: CleanSpace. Inside the Basement Systems encapsulation system is the CleanSpace liner. This is a plastic liner that is designed to permanently keep away any moisture and air. It is placed completely over the walls and floor, creating a constant blockage to anything outside of it, including critters. This plastic liner comes in handy throughout the winter months because it is designed to block cold drafts. Mike will no longer have to worry about moisture and little critters sneaking into his crawlspace thanks to CleanSpace.
Crawlspace protection is important and often mislooked by homeowners. To fully protect your crawlspace, Ayers recommends the combination of CleanSpace and a SaniDry dehumidifier to create a healthy environment for your crawlspace. The CleanSpace vapor barrier (white) blocks moisture coming in through the foundation while the SaniDry (not pictured) takes the moisture out of the air to prevent wood rot, mold growth and musty smells. Together, these additions create an effective environment that will save energy bills as well as keep your home and you healthy.
A customer had heavy water intrusion in her crawl space which was causing mold growth and rotting. Water was constantly entering and often would flood the crawl space. So our team installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier. This material is applied to the walls and floor of your crawl space. It restricts all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish.
