Kim’s 2004 Onekama, MI vacation home is almost done being renovated. She and her husband are planning on retiring in the home, but want to finish the basement. They wanted a few egress windows installed in order to go ahead with the rest of the project.
Our egress windows bring safety and beauty in one. Building codes require that basement living spaces must have a large enough window to safely evacuate in case of emergency. Our windows have built-in steps and durable covers that hold up to 500 pounds.
Kim and her husband were thrilled with the work Ayers did, and cannot wait to finish their renovations before moving in full time.
A homeowner called Ayers with an issue with a window well that was filling up with water and leaking into the basement. One of our professional System Design Specialists evaluated the issue and came up with a solution.
After consulting with our Specialist, the homeowner decided to install a new egress window to replace the prior window. Our egress windows are constructed to withstand any storm, preventing any more leaks from entering into this home.
Water was entering a customer’s basement through his walls. Not sure how to deal with this, he called our team and we installed BrightWall. Brightwall is made of white, plastic panels that will provide a waterproof and stain-resistant surface. BrightWall will keep water from seeping through cracks in your basement walls by acting as a vapor barrier. Lastly, these walls will help brighten your basement and never need painted or any other maintenance.
Joe and Brittany had an unfinished basement that they wanted to finish. Upstairs was getting crowded so they needed to add some rooms downstairs but to do that, they knew they would need an Egress window. Egress windows allow for a safe exit in case of emergencies. The large windows also allow for more fresh air and natural light to enter the space making it seem larger!
