We recently helped previous customers for the second time to ensure their basement stayed dry and protected. We originally replace their old, failing sump pump with our SuperSump pump system. The SuperSump can remove over 2,000 gallons of water per hour! Oftentimes a sump pump alone may not keep a basement entirely waterproofed. We returned to this home to install WaterGuard, our patented perimeter drainage system, to ensure all moisture coming into the basement was getting captured. Once water is in the WaterGuard drainage system, it is channeled directly to the SuperSump to be removed from the home.
Homeowners from Nottingham, ME wanted help getting a concrete slab floor for their dirt floor basement, and with waterproofing the area. We poured a new slab floor with WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system to channel water to their new SmartSump pump.
A homeowner from Barrington, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems because they were having issues with water getting into their basement, as well as having only a partial slab on the floor of the basement. The homeowner expressed they were wanting to install a sump pump and dehumidifier. Our System Design Specialist Rick Russell met with the owner to review their needs. We came up with a plan to regrade their current slab, as well as pour new concrete slab on the unfinished areas to create one continuous floor. To help keep moisture out we also installed CleanSpace with Drainage Matting and WaterGuard. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. WaterGuard was installed around the space to capture groundwater and channel it to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe includes two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup pump to protect the homeowner during a power outage. The TripleSafe is connected to an Exterior Discharge line that takes the water far from the home and where it will no longer cause issues. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to maintain a safe humidity level in the basement. The SaniDry drains directly to the TripleSafe, so the homeowner never needs to empty a bucket. Now that the homeowner's basement is fully waterproofed with a fresh smooth slab, the homeowner can use the space for storage without the risk of moisture getting in.
Milton, NH homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to waterproof their basement. The homeowners indicated they had water coming in, sometimes enough to go fishing! System Design Specialist Rick R. created a plan to keep their basement dry and protect it from any future water damage.
Drainage Matting was installed to create an inorganic barrier that would channel water to the sump and protect the new slab that was poured. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the slab and connected to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup in the winter with IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed to act as a vapor barrier where needed and channel any additional moisture from the walls to the WaterGuard.
When this homeowners basement flooded during the melting of snow after last winter, they knew they needed something done before this happened again. They called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we set them up with a free estimate before beginning work on solving their moisture problem. To protect this basement from future flooding, a WaterGuard piping system was installed around the perimeter of the floor. These pipes are buried below the surface of the floor where they will absorb any leaking water before it can reach the surface in the future. Next a TripleSafe sump system was installed and connected directly to the WaterGuard to provide a means to remove the captured water. Finally, IceGuard and LawnScape pipe segments were attached to the discharge line to further protect the basement from potential leakage causes.
With their newly waterproofed basement, this homeowner can expect a dry basement year-round from now on. The WaterGuard & TripleSafe installation will keep this basement completely water-free for years to come!
