Failing Block Foundation Wall in Essex, Vermont
Tom of Essex, Vermont contacted Matt Clark and his team at Nothern Basement System, after noticing the worsening condition of his basement wall. We provided Tom with a FREE ESTIMATE to inspect his foundation, both inside and outside to establish the source of his bowing foundation wall and then further develop a plan to resolve his concerns.
Our system design specialist proposed to install a PowerBrace System to stabilize the foundation wall and prevent further bowing and cracking and our team did just that! This system can also have the potential to straighten the foundation wall over time.
This PowerBrace System consisted of 5 steel I-beam secured to the floor joists above, using steel brackets. This system installation is interior with no exterior excavation, making for a quick and minimally invasive installation.
This PowerBrace System provided Tom with a stronger and safer foundation to support his home for years to come! Over time through yearly maintenance and system tightening, we hope to return this wall to its original upright position.
Stabilizing Cracked Foundation in Essex, Vermont
Dan of Essex, Vermont saw Northern Basement Systems working on a neighbors basement and then further enquired if we might be able to help him in his basement. His cinderblock foundation had a wall that was cracked and bowing, he was concerned about the safety and worsening damage.
We provided Dan with a FREE estimate, once Dan approved the proposal, we scheduled the project and installed a PowerBrace Foundation Wall System. This system consisted of 5 steel I-beams that were secured to the above floor joists with steel brackets.
This system is the ideal solution for this failing foundation wall. The PowerBraces will stabilize the wall to prevent further damage and has the potential to be tightened over time to potentially straighten the wall. This solution is also minimally invasive, with no exterior excavation, also making the installation much quicker.
