Our Design Specialist, Liam FitzPatrick, recommended installing SmartJack support posts in the crawl space in order to uplift and stabilize the floors. These SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, but are able to provide more support to the structure. This system is installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base at the floor. Once all posts are installed, they are adjusted to raise the floors to a level position. A total of six SmartJacks were installed.

The floors in the home were instantly leveled and supported. This homeowner now has peace of mind that the structure of her home is strong and stable.

This time the bowing was occurring on the other side of the foundation. The same Design Specialist came back out to the home and inspected the other side of the basement. We recommended installing 8 more PowerBraces to the other side of the foundation to straighten the wall and stabilize the foundation wall. 

Our installation team installed the 8 PowerBraces on the opposite side of the basement where the previous 8 PowerBraces were installed. The team stabilized and straightened the foundation wall by tightening the PowerBraces against the wall.
