The radon levels in the home were around 4 pCi/L. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system into the home to lower the radon levels. 

 A homeowner in Haverhill, Massachusetts, had concerns about radon in their home because of a neighbor being diagnosed with cancer from radon exposure. They would like to have a radon system installed in their home. The concrete-floored basement had multiple cracks in the slab. Cracks in concrete can allow radon to seep through into the home. The tests came back with a pCi/l reading of 12 and 48 which are high. The homeowner would like to get these numbers below 4.0pCi/l which is the recommended amount.

Scott Crandall was the crew lead on this job and he and his team installed the two radon systems into this homeowner's home. The before and after photos show one of the radon systems that were installed. This one, in particular, was on the side of the house. 

After both of the systems were installed the homeowner was very please that the pCi/l was under 4.0.
