This wet basement in Salt Lick, KY, had a leaky block foundation that needed a proper waterproofing system. The newer home was built with exterior french drains, but those didn't last long underneath the soil. Instead of digging around their homes foundation again to replace their exterior system, the homeowners wanted our full-proof system that would last way longer than another exterior system, (and would be less of a headache to install). The pinnacle of this full-proof system is our TripleSafe sump pump, as seen in the "after" picture. This sump pump comes with three different pumps inside its airtight liner, including a pump that is backed by a battery backup system, (in case of power outage). With our full interior system now in place, the homeowners can get back to reinstalling some new carpet - and they won't have to worry about if it will get ruined again.
A homeowner in Morehead, Kentucky was having water problems in the crawl space area of the home. The insulation was beginning to fall down and the homeowner was concerned about eventually having foundation problems due to the water. We encapsulated the space to ensure the crawl space lives a healthy life.
Hydrostatic pressure is the most common issue for basements that we see. When your foundation was first built, the builders have to dig up soil around the foundation and then have to backfill back around that foundation with the same soil. Because the soil was dug up, it's not as compact. This creates a clay bowl effect around your home, where water is more inclined to saturate the soil around your foundation because the soil was once broken up. With all this water sitting on the outside of your foundation, it creates a tremendous amount of pressure on the walls. In order to relieve this water pressure, we installed an interior waterproofing system that invites the built up water into the sump pump, and then the sump pump discharges that water far away from the home. We then installed PowerBraces on the bowed wall to make sure the wall is stabilized for good. Lastly, we installed BrightWall panels to cover up the stained block walls.
This specific corner of the basement was leaking heavily for this homeowner. You can see from the before picture that the walls were deteriorating from the intruding water, and this was frustrating the homeowner. We installed our patented interior perimeter waterproofing system with the most effective products like; A TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace moisture proof walls, and WaterGuard subfloor drains. This waterproofing system helps bring a peace of mind to the homeowner that their basement is protected from water.
This front porch had settled pretty far down into the contracted soil, which was no so sightly. The settling process also disturbed their gutters, soffit, columns, and their steps. Since this porch slab was about 2 feet thick, our PolyLevel foam lifting method could not be used to lift it back up. Instead, we used our helical piers to not only stabilize the front porch, but to raise it as well. The piers are driven deep into stable soil which ensures the porch won't settle any more. The piers also have a hydraulic component that allowed us to lift this heavy structure. After the job, the homeowners are now able to repair anything on the porch that the settling process damaged, and they won't have to worry about settling any longer.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
