This crawl space in Cincinnati, OH, was wet, saggy, and musty. We started the repair by installing two of our steel SmartJack posts to help provide some much needed support to the sagging floor joists above. Next, we sealed the space with our drainage matting floors, our SilverGlo insulation wall panels, and our white CleanSpace vapor barrier. Lastly, we installed a dehumidification system to keep the air in the space conditioned and dry. The homeowner was very pleased with the outcome, and they immediately started moving storage boxes into the newly converted space beneath the home.

This homeowner was concerned with their existing vapor barrier system, and they wanted us to install our patented CleanSpace product to replace it. Unlike the existing vapor barrier, our CleanSpace is sealed everywhere, and is stronger and cleaner. The homeowner noticed an immediate difference in their home after our CleanSpace was installed. 

This homeowner in Brookville, OH, had concerns with their musty smelling crawl space. The builder of the home told them there was a vapor barrier beneath the pea gravel in the floor of the crawl space, so the homeowner was confused as to why it still smelled so bad. Our Inspector dug through the pea gravel to find the vapor barrier covered in water. We explained to the homeowner that the best way to prepare this crawl space for a long future was to encapsulate it properly by sealing the space with our CleanSpace liner. We started by laying down our dimpled drainage matting all across the pea gravel floor, (which will help provide strength & moisture control underneath the vapor barrier we installed over it). We then wrapped the entire space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, making sure to tape it at all the seams, and we even wrapped the concrete pillars. We also installed SilverGlo insulation along the walls, which will help the homeowner save money on energy in the winter. Lastly, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the transformed space dry as can be, 24/7. The homeowner was happy with the outcome, and more happy that their spouse has healthy air to breathe. 

Many homes in our area have both a crawl space and a basement, as was the case for this project in Germantown, OH. The homeowners were frustrated with their 2.5-foot crawl space, which was musty and emitting unpleasant odors.
