By encapsulating the crawl space and adding TerraBlock insulation, it helps improve your homes health by sealing off the earth beneath. TerraBlock is a 3/4 inch thick foam that is cut to perfectly fit each individual crawl space and create a barrier from the outside. This reduces heat loss by keeping the crawl space around the same temperature year round and the heating/cooling systems don't have to work as hard to keep up. This homeowner was renovating their home and discovered their crawlspace in disrepair. To address it, they researched only and opted to move forward with a crawlspace encapsulation. 

This homes interior doorways were no longer closing smoothly, and the floor had a slight bounce to it. The homeowners called up John's Waterproofing to get some help. To solve the issue we replaced the damaged wooden posts with SmartJacks. The home is lifted to the correct height. CleanSpace is installed over the footing, and a SmartJack is inserted, and secured into place. Once the homes weight is on the stable SmartJack the lift is removed. 

This customer was referred to us by a local company because when their tech went to make repairs under the home it was so damp and a strong musty smell. Our crews went in and cleaned out the crawlspace and cleaned the mold. We installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier that is a 20 mil thick woven fiber plastic. We use this to completely seal the crawlspace to keep unwanted pests, moisture, and other alignments out. The customer was so happy to see how clean it was and that she won’t have to worry about mold in the crawlspace again.
