Remediation of water issues in crawlspace to satisfy inspection of home for sale. This was done for my wife's house which she tried to sell when we got married. After renting she was prepared to put the house on the market when a referral from a friend resulted in an offer. The inspection revealed some water issues in the crawlspace, not unusual in this part of the state. I went down to look and verify the issue. The inspection service recommended John's service which made me somewhat skeptical but the Angie's list reviews were positive. When their agent came to inspect and discuss remediation I was more impressed. They were able to schedule the work in a time frame favorable to closing. They arrived on time and did an excellent job of keeping the house clean and cleaning up afterwards. I went down into the crawlspace and saw that new plastic had been put down but wasn't going to peel up the plastic to verify the trenching and placement of drain pipe (sock covered flexible drain pipe).  I saw the wiring for the sump pumps and the alarms but again did not peel away the black plastic to verify installation. It is difficult to rate this work in comparison to above grade work where a better inspection is possible. It appears they did what they said they would and the situation is improved. I am not one to inflated ratings. This is difficult work and "adequate" is really fair praise. I would consider them for our current home some time in the future.

After some research, we called Johns Waterproofing for an estimate. When Jakob Bilyeu came he went into the crawl space, took pictures, explaining each situation and showed where mice were coming in (yikes). Jakob is knowledgeable with the whole process flow which helped seal the deal. Forward nine months and we're ready for the anniversary inspection. Past winters were very cold in the house especially in the bedroom. Since the encapsulation, it's not been as cold and we haven't had to turn up the heat as much. And no smell and no more mice from the crawl space. Installers were VERY mindful of our furniture and tried to minimize dust and dirt; cleaned up daily so we could use the space in the evenings; friendly crew who explained every day what part of the project they were on. The whole experience made me very comfortable recommending Jakob and Johns Waterproofing Company.

I was very happy with the result of the work completed today. The crew was fast and efficient and I couldn’t be happier with the result of the work. I broke my back a few years ago and have been dreading having this work completed and I am SO thankful for everything that John's has done; and will recommend them to all of my friends and family.

2 years ago my Wife and I purchased a dual sub pump system and new vapor barrier from John's waterproofing. The entire team that came up and worked so hard to do a french drain around the entire house, and install the equipment were just fantastic! Today as a yearly follow up Maintenance we had the privilege of meeting Hitch. What a delightful man, who serviced all the equipment, and gave us some very good information. Everyone I've met from the business have been very knowledgeable, and very willing to help in any way they can. I highly recommend this company. You won't be sorry.
