Both ground moisture and condensation was creating a moisture issue in this crawl space, resulting in an even worse issue with high humidity. There once was an attempt to combat this with a standard vapor barrier, but that did not manage to take care of the issue, and as you can see in the before image, it had resulted in a mess. After a thorough inspection from one of our design specialists, the homeowners decided to let us work our magic and bring in a real and permanent solution. We replaced the old vapor barrier with much a more durable and secure CleanSpace Liner. In the after image, you can also see our dehumidification and sump pump systems, both strategically involved to lower humidity and moisture content, thus lowering risk under the home. In Natchez, MS, the homeowners called us to protect and preserve their flooring by fixing a persistent moisture problem in their crawl space. Notice in the before photo how excess moisture led to the risk of structural damage. We tackled the issue with expertly-installed Drainage Matting, which enhances water redirection, paired with our durable CleanSpace® encapsulation system. Our CleanSpace Liner is a vital part of our overall encapsulation system and really goes above and beyond your standard vapor barrier. This much more durable liner isn't just thrown on top of the crawl space floor, but is wrapped around all of the walls and supports of the crawl space as well. In combination with our drainage matting, ground and wall moisture seepage can be blocked out and collected. This encapsulation was designed by one of our specialists, Scottie, and installed by our foreman, David, and his talented crew!
