There once was an attempt to combat this with a standard vapor barrier, but that did not manage to take care of the issue, and as you can see in the before image, it had resulted in a mess. After a thorough inspection from one of our design specialists, the homeowners decided to let us work our magic and bring in a real and permanent solution. We replaced the old vapor barrier with much a more durable and secure CleanSpace Liner. In the after image, you can also see our dehumidification and sump pump systems, both strategically involved to lower humidity and moisture content, thus lowering risk under the home. Our CleanSpace Liner is a vital part of our overall encapsulation system and really goes above and beyond your standard vapor barrier. This much more durable liner isn't just thrown on top of the crawl space floor, but is wrapped around all of the walls and supports of the crawl space as well. In combination with our drainage matting, ground and wall moisture seepage can be blocked out and collected.
