Adirondack Basement Systems had to brace up the cellar wall which was being pushed in by water pressure, install a french drain along the wall and install sumps to get rid of any water that got it. They also installed a dehumidifier to keep the basement dry and mold free. They are a busy company and took several weeks for their estimator/ engineer to get to us but when he did, he spent several hours measuring/ examining and explaining their procedures, products, and techniques. It was a couples months more before they could start the job but once started, they were fast, neat, and courteous. The wall power braces actually pushed the basement wall back a little. The drains along the wall were put in place after they jack hammered a trough for them, weep holes were drilled in the block to relieve any water build up, and the drain was cemented over- a really nice job. We got the triple safe sump pump system with triple redundancy pumps- two electric motors and a battery powered motor- to ensure the water is out of the sump. They also installed a  large dehumidifier which also drains to the sump. We also had their electrician install the two power lines from the breaker box to the two pump motors. Adirondack Basement Systems did a really great job and given the work involved and equipment installed, at a very reasonable cost.

Our service technician did an excellent job.  Adirondack Basement Systems always does an excellent job.  He explained the service to us.  The office team is impressive and always polite.  Ever since the initial installation we have been able to use the basement fully and there's no more dampness.  We would recommend your company anytime.  We could not be anymore pleased with them.  Our home was built in 1830 with a rubble foundation.  We couldn't leave the house without someone checking on it daily.  Now with this system, we go away weeks at a time without a worry in the world of the flooding we have had.  Even the Fire Dept. misses us from the times our sump pump and power went out.  Best investment we have made in the years we have lived here.  Thank you.  Why didn't you stop by long ago!!  You could of saved me gray hair and aging.

I was very satisfied from beginning to end.  I felt like my Design Specialist cared about my needs, not just the sale.  The installer was knowledgeable answered my questions, didn't mind me watching the work being done, and paid attention to details.  This was one of the most pleasant contractor experiences I've ever had. Thank you for proving fully reputable contractors do, in fact, still exist out there and that they treat your home possibly even better than their own.

We needed an egress window installed in our basement to comply with code before we finished the basement. The estimator showed up on time- very nice fellow. Showed us what we needed for code and what the options were. We went with the cheapest window (which was the style we wanted anyway) and the cheapest well, for approximately $3700. We talked to other contractors and they were either way higher or were lower but balked when asked specific questions. Adirondack Basemetn Systems had a $100 coupon in the paper. I was told by the estimator that they do not offer a veterans or affiliations discount. After the job was done, I found out that they do in fact offer a veterans discount through our county Return the Favor program. I called them and faxed over the info they requested. They refunded the discount in less than a week- very pelased with that! The foreman showed up around 8am and went over with me what they would do and to see if I had any special concerns. He figured out a way to minimize lawn damage (there was none after). They (he and two workers) brought over a Bobcat and got right to work. They have minimal cuts to the existing framing and carefully removed the insulation. They weren't a bother and didn't get in our way. they were patient with me and I kept popping in to check up and ask questions. Job was completed about 5 hours later. The foreman explained to me everything they did, and how to operate and care for the window. They cleaned up. No mess left behind. They even moved and replanted a cherished lilac bush that was in the way. Overall a satisfactory experience. My only concern was that, when the foreman went offsite, the laborers used my power drill and not their own without asking first. They did not damage it. I think the foreman left them tool-less and they didn't want to stop work and wait for him. They seemed to take pride in leaving the smallest evidence of their visit. We plan on doing a Bilco door in a couple years and will call them first.
